Immerse yourself in Rachel Brosnahan’s work as Miriam “Midge” Maisel in this 1950s comedy. The three-season series is about a charming housewife who pursues a career in stand-up comedy after her husband, Joe Maisel (Michael Zegen), unexpectedly leaves her.
The show took home the Golden Globe for best comedy or musical series for its debut season, and Brosnahan proudly accepted the statue for best actress. You don’t want to miss this!

Once you’ve got your hands on the right TV, here are a few tips and tricks to add an extra bit of pizzazz to your viewing!
Watch from the right distance
4K TVs are so detailed, and the individual pixels are so tiny, that you can afford to sit reasonably close – if you’ve gone 50’’ or above on a 4K screen TV you should be at least 1.7m from it to get the best viewing experience.
But also, as daft as it sounds where you are sitting when watching your favourite drama series can have a big impact on the quality of the picture you can see. If you find yourself looking up at an edge-lit LED LCD TV, it’s probably positioned too high.
Fashionable low AV furniture is ideal for this. Get the best seat in the house and get a Joey-style La-Z-boy if you must, just make sure you’re comfortable.
Get the right height too
Ensure a world class viewing experience by making sure your TV is viewed at the same height as your natural eye-line, when sat down.
The punchiest pictures with the best contrast are always seen when the screen is viewed square on. Try to avoid direct reflections on the screen whenever possible, perhaps from an adjacent window.
Tweak those picture settings
The major areas in which you’ll need to consider adjustments are ‘contrast’, ‘brightness’, ‘colour’ and ‘sharpness’. Contrast defines the difference between the brightest and darkest parts of the screen. Well-sorted contrast shows a bright image which still retains all its detail, so to adjust your contrast level on your TV, you’ll want to avoid pausing on a scene that is too dark to judge.
Unlike the Contrast settings, Brightness deals with the darker areas of an image. To help adjust this setting right, you’ll want to find a scene that’s dark – take any scene from Game of Thrones Final Season for example. Then turn the brightness right down and slowly edge it back up until all of the detail in the scene is visible and you’ve got a crisp clear picture.
The sharpness and colour of your picture is also a key factor to getting the best view, for this you’ll probably want to leave these as the default settings. Although if you feel the colour’s are a little off and the picture isn’t crisp enough, then have a go at dialling things up or down – you’ll want to focus on people’s skin-tones for a good colour guide, and buildings for judgement on sharpness.
