Thank You, NHS Heroes!

To show our gratitude for our health heroes, we gave nominated key workers the chance to meet one of their footballing heroes, and win a brand new Hisense TV! 

Here at Hisense, we wanted to give back to our key workers who have gone above and beyond during this difficult time. So, we gave three Manchester City-mad key workers something to smile about with a brand new TV and a personal thank you call from City midfielder and Hisense Ambassador, Bernardo Silva.

We carried out a social media campaign calling on fans to nominate worthy individuals using the #MiracleWorkers hashtag, with three special winners given the once-in-a lifetime opportunity to video chat with the Premier League star, along with a brand new TV to enjoy watching some more special performances from the Portuguese on.

The Euro 2016 and Premier League winner surprised Naomi Harrison from Manchester; Leigh Worswick from Clitheroe and Rory Nolan from Stockport, all of whom work in the NHS and are of course, huge Manchester City fans, on a Zoom call to thank them for all their hard work during this unprecedented time – and to talk football for a while as well!

We caught up with one of the well-deserved winners Leigh Worswick – a 26 year old who works as a Directorate Workforce Co-ordinator for the NHS – who was suitably delighted with her prize: “I was so shocked to have won such a fantastic prize. I was actually on Facetime to my mum, Steph, who nominated me when she got the text to say I’d won and we couldn’t quite believe it! I absolutely love my new Hisense TV. It’s huge and is perfect for when I come home after a long day at work and I can chill in my room and watch my favourite shows.

"I am a massive Man City fan so the call with Bernardo was surreal, I still can’t believe it happened. It really was a once-in-a-lifetime experience."

Along with the rest of the country, everyone at Hisense is hugely grateful for the incredible work our NHS and other keyworkers have done during the pandemic, and are delighted we could give a little something back to a few of our health heroes. Hopefully, they’ll all be able to put their feet up after a long shift and enjoy watching their new TVs!
