    “Inexpensive for a reason!!”

Like many I was attracted to the good combination of price and specification but you ultimately get what you pay. It's a good looking fridge but temperatures are not very stable (we use wireless digital thermometers in both compartments) and not very accurate, so we have to select 4c in the fridge to get 3c, and -20c in the freezer achieves -18c.  Temperatures in the fridge fluctuate in cycles from 5c, which is really bad for fresh food down to -2c in the lower part, which is also terrible. The fast cooling feature in the fridge illuminates a symbol on the control panel but that seems to be about all it does as the temperature does not change according to our thermometer.  Our previous 15 year old Korean American fridge/freezer would drop the temperature by a consistent 4c in an hour or so and no matter what the ambient temperature, which was great before a big shop or when it was totally full for Christmas.  Our previous fridge/freezer also had numerous vents throughout the back of the fridge and freezer to uniformly distribute the cold air whilst the Hisense has just two at the top (from what I can see), which results in numerous hotpots in the fridge and temperature variations by shelf. Canned drinks from the garage are colder than some shelves in the fridge, which is a disappointing first. The water dispenser drips after use and the water is not chilled but tap temperature, which just seems crazy as it's not like the engineers didn't have anywhere to locate a commonly used small water tank or coiled hose behind the fridge interior panel.  Our old fridge provided ice cold water until its last day and I just assumed all American style fridge freezers chilled the water.  The touch panel is also quite unresponsive and takes numerous presses to wake the panel up and make a selection.  We now just open a door as that also wakes the panel.  The ice maker does indeed make ice but do allow for the much smaller door mounted ice bucket if you're a large family or like your drinks chilled (remember no chilled water!).  We have heard of numerous issues with the ice crusher, so we have decided not to use that feature. If you suffer with ice cubes freezing together, it's water splashing from the ice tray above as it fills, so just slightly reduce the flow of your water feed into the fridge. Lighting is really terrible as whilst the manufacturer incorporates LED, it's a single light at the top of each compartment instead of down the sides, so only the very top of the fridge and freezer receive any light.  We have bought some magnetic USB charged LED light strips to address the manufacturers poor attention to details.  It looks a bit cheap and nasty but that's rather appropriate in this case. Overall we are extremely disappointed in ourselves for not carrying out more research (the lack of multiple airflow outlets should have rung some alarm bells) but also the cost cutting on the part of the manufacturer.  We are already saving for a replacement that actually chills the water and can also chill food without either heating or freezing it.

    “Great american fridge freezer”

I bought this as a replacement for a samxxxx , this seems a much better fridge, bigger and better designed inside. The only fault i can say is the cold water drips a little, but so did my old one

    “American Fridge Freezer”

The overall design and layout is great. It’s noiser than I’d like, you know the appliance is working. I was disappointed that the water isn’t ice cold. Fruit and veg seem to last longer in the drawers. Plenty of side door storage space. It looks stylish and expensive

    “Brilliant Fridge Freezer”

Absolutely love love love my Hisense fridge freezer. Got this for my new kitchen and by far this was the item I most looked forward to using. The capacity is great for a family of 4. But by far the best feature is the water and ice dispenser. Perfect filtered water and the can have the option of either cubed or crushed ice, the crushed ice can come out a bit crazy but as long as you hold the glass high you can catch it. It’s great that you can lock the ice and water as I have a 6 year old and 3 year old, so no panic that they will be using it and flooding the kitchen! The digital display looks really modern yet easy to use. Haven’t found any faults yet, 2 months in.

    “Not that good”

I bought it a couple of weeks ago and it makes a intermittent high pitched noise, and the nano fresh has also made a loud noise once like it was about to break down, water dispenser keeps going for a second after you let go so it drips, overall not a great product.

    “Great Hisense Fridge-freezer”

We were forced to replace our Samsung American fridge-freezer a month ago and did not want to spend another £1000, so bought the Hisense for £600. We thought it would be inferior, but the opposite is true. Its better by design, layout, quality and finish. It's an excellent fridge-freezer.

    “Great buy”

Bought this just before Christmas and couldn’t be happier with my purchase. It looks good, shows no marks. The ice dispenser is a great addition. Plenty of room in both fridge and freezer. The only downside is the fridge door tends to fling open and if you don’t hold it bangs against the wall which can be annoying and is why I didn’t give it 4 stars.

    “Great looking”

I bought 2 months ago pleased so far only one problem water dispenser not working properly. Due to covid19 will leave till safe for engineer visit.

    “Looks amazing”

We brought our Hisense American fridge freezer about a month ago and we love it, it's very bright inside has loads of space for all of our food. The water and ice dispenser is a great feature but remember to leave your cup under the dispenser for a few extra seconds when your finished getting water because it will still drip once or twice. But overall we love our new amwrican fridge freezer

    “Spacious fridge/freezer”

We've had American style fridges before & like the ice/water feature, inside its spacious and plenty of shelves in the door, there's also shelves in the freezer compartment door too. The only downside is that the water dispenser doesn't stop straight away so you need to be careful otherwise you'll end up with a spillage.
