“Packed full of features, a perfect upgrade!”

This TV certainly does not disappoint. After my old TV of 14 years became incompatible with our digital entertainment devices, this new smart TV from Hisense was worth the upgrade and within budget. The sales team at Richer Sounds did not disappoint in provided professional sound advice that helped in my decision. There was a few models to choose from, but in the end I selected the model that offered future proof features and included a cable connection for free satellite viewing via an existing dish connection. In fact, this TV purchase was the perfect opportunity to upgrade from Freeview to Freesat, which I now enjoy better quality and 4K viewing on Netflix and YouTube. A perfect choice for anyone looking for a TV that will last, especially with a free 6-year guarantee, also.

    “So many features”

The picture quality on this tv is exquisite!super easy set up and tuning in. Extremly light weight when trying to mount onto the wall. Remote is easy to use to navigate through the massive amount of apps and options that this tv offers. Extremely clear movie quality I'm now a big hisense fan. Would recommend this brand to family and friends.

    “A Phenomenal TV!”

A6GTUK Well packaged product at limited risk of being damaged In transit, with an easy setup wizard. This is a 55 inch tv with next to no edge bezel, floating glass display, clean lines, 4K LED TV. It looks so good! It stands out from the crowd, this is mega bang for your buck at this price point as a 4K 55” LED TV. It has a smart OS, smart picture optimisation, voice assistance built in, Bluetooth, Wi-fi and much more connectivity and functionality. Having spent some time getting to know the A6GTUK it’s bang on for the money, there are few areas that you will see differences to what you might be expecting and kicks the competition out the water at this price point in the market. While there are few areas for improvement, I feel that I should mention where this does fall slightly short of the mark and where you will see potential areas to look at potentially buying the higher spec model within this Hisense range. But genuinely this is a phenomenal TV! Picture quality; You may notice a small amount of white backlight bleeding through from the rear, giving an almost in a halo effect around the TV. This is the rear illuminated light to the LED’s (or so I understand) behind the screen it’s easy enough to resolve however it does mean you need to turn down brightness to around 50-60% limiting true black, and will give you the dark purple for some pitch black scenes, that said in general this has a cracking picture quality and its HDR. Set top box integration and points to be aware of… if you have a supplied box from your tv / cable provider make sure it is a UHD or high definition box. Non UHD tv cable (set top box) units will display a sub par and poor picture due to the screen size being so big even when set to output 1080p. Despite having HD channels on a set top box and 1020p selected as picture output quality, not having a UHD box really shows on a 55inch screen. While not a problem for the A6GTUK it’s solves the issues with set top boxes using freeview, freeview play, Netflix, Amazon prime all directly though the TV (rather than a Set top box) and using VIDAA. Freeview and freeview play are built in, an amazing feature well done. If watching freeview though an aerial your picture quality won’t suffer the poor picture problems as experienced with a set top box as the tv does all the picture quality and up scaling providing a significantly improved picture quality, good overall colour and decent colour depth despite being an entry level HDR 4K TV. Other plus points are the ability to pause TV although you do need a dedicated and connected external hard drive to the TV, my set top box is now being recycled. Sound; While the internal speakers are good for a flat panel tv, they are more for people who don’t own a sound bar or external speaker system and leave the sound quality poor; lacking bass, mids are washed out and the highs are over powering, an external speaker setup is a must! That said with a supported external sound system you can get the expansive audio as provided by Dolby Atmos being built in and that’s really good at providing expansive audio. The remote feels quite light in the hand while it is laid out well, sadly there are no physical stop, play, pause buttons on the remote . These functions are a digital option on a pop up screen menu, that said it works quickly and easy to use once you get the hang of it. As I said previously, this is a mega TV at its price point, I have been particularly picky on points to consider when buying this product but all round it’s a great 55inch 4K LED TV, has voice assistance built in and access to all the usual smart services. It smashes the competition out the park at this price point and an amazing product. Well done Hisense!

The setup, user interface and ease of navigation are exceptional and very quick. Modern, thin, lightweight design. Perfect picture quality, sharp and clear in any environment. Great colours and response. Great range of inbuilt apps which are easy to use. Alexa and Google assist built in were a nice feature too as well as voice control function. Lots of options for inputs, with 3 HDMI and two USB ports one is USB3.0, also are ethernet, digital out, headphone, AV in and two digital antenna inputs. The picture quality is as you'd expect on a 4k panel, the detail is incredible for the price of the TV. I would recommend going through the picture settings though as it will need some tweaking out the box, HDR Day was best for me. There are many sound options for output and Dolby options including an Equaliser. Overall an amazing product from Hisense. I really couldn't fault it.
