“Great TV! High Quality 4K and HDR!”

I bought this 49" TV about a month ago in preparation for the World Cup as my 40 inch Full HD was getting a bit old. I was slightly apprehensive as I had never heard of Hisense before but I decided to go ahead and make the purchase. The TV was great and easy to set up. The 4K HDR picture is brilliant and Freeview Play is great for watching programmes on demand. If I had to be picky, the TV's legs are very far apart so your TV stand size is limited. Also, the smart TV app store could be improved. But overall, the best TV I have ever owned and I would definitely recommend it!

    “Perfectly fine TV”

Very happy with this. It's an entry level 55" 4k TV and, as my expectations were in line with this, I am now a very happy owner. It wasn't on display in any shops I could find, so I took a punt buying it online. I read various reviews which were generally average to positive. This one's positive. Some people criticise it for not being able to display deep blacks, or that its HDR is not real HDR. That's all very well, but such criticism should be mitigated given its entry level status. There are TVs further up the range that can do both of those. My primary source is Sky Q, which looks great for all HD channels and 4k content. The first thing I noticed was how much better the HD channels looked compared with the Panasonic 1080p TV that this Hisense replaced. I assume this is because of the upscaling, which must be continuous as I can't see anything in the menus to toggle it. SD channels can look grainy, depending on the programme. Netflix 4k looks superb. The sound is fine. Like most home setups, if there's anything interesting to watch, the AV receiver gets switched on anyway. There are 2 negative points mentioned in other reviews that I agree with. The first is the lack of a total power down (ie it only goes into standby mode unless switched off at the mains). The second is the viewing angle. This is quite narrow, as from any wide angle, the picture is washed out. Head on, as I watch it, it's totally fine. Hope this helps someone!

    “Picture quality”

Really very pleased with my new tv - only criticism is the sound, (but then that could be the programme itself) sometimes I have to turn it up to 70 to hear it clearly - other than that it was easy to get going. It would also look much better with a central stand rather than legs at either end.
